Spring in the Northwest

I could sure tell it was spring today.  The weather was beautifully sunny this morning and after school it was still pretty good. So I decided my kids and I would go for a walk in the park.  That way I could also play with my new camera.

I took this picture this morning from the playground of the school where I work. By noon the clouds had rolled in and we couldn't see the mountains anymore. These are the Olympic Mountains.

After school at the park we saw a lot of water fowl.

This was the only duck of its kind. I loved the red bill.

  6. Pretty ducks!!! Is the last photo, the bird...is it actually called a red billed duck? So unusual.

  11. Spring is here for sure. Love the peek of the Olympics. We see them on occasion from Stanwood but there are usually clouds in the way. There is one road on Fir Island near Conway where you can see Rainier, the Olympics and Baker from the same spot.
Like the bird shots too. MB
