I took this picture this morning from the playground of the school where I work. By noon the clouds had rolled in and we couldn't see the mountains anymore. These are the Olympic Mountains.
After school at the park we saw a lot of water fowl.
This was the only duck of its kind. I loved the red bill.

What fun with your new camera and your kids. Love the blue skies and mountains and the red billed duck (looks like he was having a good time too).
ReplyDeleteWow isn't he an awesome chap! Still looks very cold. Hope you can stop by Tasty Spot Tuesday & Oh! My Heartsie WW w/Linky

The mountains are especially beautiful and great photos of all the waterbirds.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous capture of the red-billed duck in action. I LOVE it! Glad you had Spring ... we had snow!! Thanks for visiting Walk and Click Wednesday!!
ReplyDeletePretty ducks!!! Is the last photo, the bird...is it actually called a red billed duck? So unusual.

Looks like a fun walk. It's interesting that there was only one duck of its kind.
ReplyDeleteFantastic photography ~ love the last one with the 'wings in action' ~ beautiful! ^_^
ReplyDeleteBrilliant capture of movement in that last shot and the mountains looks beautifully rugged

Loving your spring snaps! That first shot is gorgeous scenery! Happy WW!
ReplyDeleteSpring is here for sure. Love the peek of the Olympics. We see them on occasion from Stanwood but there are usually clouds in the way. There is one road on Fir Island near Conway where you can see Rainier, the Olympics and Baker from the same spot.
ReplyDeleteLike the bird shots too. MB
Lovely shot of the mountains. How fun to play with a new camera. Visiting from Walk and Click.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful to see the mountains and all your birds.
ReplyDeleteNice pictures - I do like the flapping duck! (and the mountains!)
